ASEAN energy ministers agree enhanced ASEAN Power Grid memorandum

ASEAN member states have reached consensus on an enhanced memorandum of understanding for the ASEAN Power Grid, the Philippine Department of Energy said, with the signatures still to be completed. The consensus came at the 44th ASEAN Ministers on Energy Meeting in Manila. Ministers also noted progress on a regional submarine power cable framework, with remaining legal and regulatory matters to move under the 2027 Singapore chairship, and launched the 9th ASEAN Energy Outlook.
